ASIS International Vision: ASIS International will be the pre-eminent organization advancing security worldwide.
ASIS International Mission: To achieve its vision, ASIS International will promote excellence in and recognition of the security profession. Region Vice Presidents will coordinate an implementation plan in each chapter for the below goals in support of the ASIS International 2010 Strategic Plan.
GOAL 1: Identify and Fulfill the Needs of Members and Potential Members
Ensure that all members receive benefit from ASIS programs and services in a cost-effective manner for both the member and ASIS. Chapter leaders annually discuss ASIS benefits.

Publicize member benefits in newsletter or website

GOAL 2: Provide Quality Education and Training
Provide innovative and timely educational programming and use technology-based delivery systems to satisfy current chapter attendees while attracting new participants in ASIS-sponsored education programs.

1. Host at least one webinair/net meeting in the next year
2. Host one ½ day security seminar
3. Provide links or sources for other training opportunities

GOAL 3: Provide Opportunities for the Exchange of Ideas and Information
Identify and implement opportunities for information exchange and discussion on issues affecting the profession. Enhance information sharing between public and private sectors.
Chapter Implementation Plan:

1. Set up joint meetings w/ ISSA, BOMA, and other like-minded organizations
2. Set up a guest speakers list

GOAL 4: Develop Security Guidelines and Standards
Senior Region Vice Presidents will communicate guidelines and standards developed by ASIS at least three times a year in a newsletter for all chapters.
Assure that ASIS education programs and certification content are in concert with guidelines.

GOAL 5: Promote Professionalism and Ethical Conduct
Promote the ASIS Code of Ethics. Chapters to discuss code at least annually.
Promote certification as a professional competency standard through an annual chapter certification event.

2. Overview the code in the newsletter or website

GOAL 6: Promote and Represent the Profession and ASIS to Key Audiences
Collaborate with educational institutions, government agencies, the business community, and non-security disciplines to establish joint or ASIS-sponsored educational programs and certifications.
Establish strategic alliances with security, business, governmental, information technology security, and law enforcement organizations to support pursuit of the ASIS Mission.
Chapter Implementation Plan:

1. Establish Law Enforcement liaison committee
2. Present ASIS International powerpoint presentation to at least two organizations

GOAL 7: Enhance the Effectiveness of ASIS Volunteer Leadership
Ensure that ASIS’ chapter leaders and processes use volunteer leaders as resources in an effective and efficient manner. Recognize volunteer leadership contributions and successes.

Establish and maintain viable volunteer committees.

GOAL 8: Assure the Continued Strength of ASIS
Ensure effectiveness of all organizational entities by tracking specific objectives consistent with the Strategic Plan.

2. Re-recruit at least 5% inactive members
3. Recruit in the student community
