News Release: Pikes Peak Chapter #20, October 9, 2008 The Pikes Peak Chapter held its October meeting at Colorado Technical University in Colorado Springs. Our guest speakers were Troopers Darce Weil and Dan Cobler of the Colorado State Patrol. Troopers Weil and Cobler provided an operational overview of the Colorado Information Analysis Center (CIAC). The CIAC partners with local, state and federal law enforcement and investigative agencies to ascertain and counter criminal threats to Colorado’s critical infrastructure, key facilities and activities. The CIAC provides proactive and preventive law enforcement services to help protect Colorado residents and resources. The one-hour lesson was opened up to the group for questions. The CIAC was originally presented in the June 12, 2008 session conducted by Mr. John Baker. For additional information on the CIAC and its mission, see the following website: www.ciac.gov. |
